We had a lovely family stay by the river, where the kids enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds and we relished the amazing two-course meal for just £21.95! The staff were friendly, making our time quite enjoyable.

In my wife’s opinion, the kids wished there were more fun activities available for them during our stay.

The decor had unique historical charm yet the cleanliness was disappointingly subpar.

The setting is lovely along the River Trent, and the room was clean and comfortable. noise from a wedding disrupted sleep, and the service during meals could have been improved. it’s a charming place with potential for a better experience.

We loved our romantic stay here! The breakfast was absolutely lovely, everything was so fresh and flavorful. The room was beautifully decorated with balloons as we requested. Can't wait to return!

I recently enjoyed a lovely stay in a spacious room overlooking the river, which created a serene atmosphere. The staff were extremely cheerful and attentive, enhancing my overall experience. The breakfast was delightful, featuring a variety of fresh options to start the day. I would have appreciated quicker service during breakfast as it felt a bit slow at times.

The main house executive double room was spacious with a comfy sofa and a feather pillow for a good night's sleep. The dining area was well-decorated, and the food was fresh and locally sourced. Breakfast was prompt with a variety of options, and the spa facilities were a plus for some relaxation by the river.

The need for room updates is glaring!!! Uncomfortable beds, shabby decor, and poor bathroom maintenance left much to be desired. Not to mention the shockingly high meal prices for minuscule portions. Steps must be taken to enhance overall quality!!!

The stay was quite pleasant, especially with the lovely breakfast that was served. The bedroom felt perfectly cozy and was beautifully decorated with balloons and rose petals as requested. the lounge area of the room could have been more welcoming, as it lacked a fridge. I enjoyed the river views which added to the peaceful atmosphere of our stay.

There were a few inconveniences during the stay. The heating in the room couldn't be turned off, making it uncomfortably warm even with the windows open. The shower had inconsistent temperatures, fluctuating from hot to cold, which was quite jarring. I noticed a need for bedside tables and lamps for added convenience. The restaurant setting felt a bit too warm too, and I sensed some unwelcoming vibes towards dogs, as guests with pets were restricted to a designated corner in the brasserie, possibly affecting comfort during mealtimes.
